What is the cost of a trademark filing?

We offer flat-fee trademark packages tailored to your specific needs. Depending on the nature of your trademark and how it is used in connection with your goods or services, we will recommend the most appropriate steps to protect your brand.

Our firm also provides a range of additional trademark services to support your brand throughout the trademark lifecycle. These services include preparing and filing responses to both substantive and non-substantive Office Actions issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, filing Statements of Use, and handling trademark maintenance and renewal filings to keep your registration active and protected.

How long is the Trademark process?

Registering a trademark is a long process, and we can typically file your trademark application within two weeks. However, the USPTO trademark process generally takes between 12 to 18 months to register a trademark. This process could take longer depending on whether or not there are any issues with your trademark application.

How do I know if I need to register my trademark?

If you are growing your brand, expanding your business, or planning to use your brand long-term, registering your trademark is an important step.

As an entrepreneur or business owner, you should protect the brand you have invested time, money, and resources to build. Forming an LLC, purchasing a domain name, or securing a social media handle does not protect your brand.

Only a federally registered trademark through the United States Patent and Trademark Office gives you nationwide rights and the exclusive right to use your brand in connection with the goods or services you provide.

Can I work with you if I am located in another state (jurisdiction)?

We assist trademark clients across the United States as trademarks are governed by federal law. Our managing attorney is licensed in the state of Michigan and is able to assist contract clients located in Michigan for contract review and drafting.  Even if you are not located in Michigan, but you have a contract that is governed by Michigan law, we can provide legal advice regarding your contract. However, for contract drafting and other legal matters governed by laws other than Michigan, you should consult with and contact an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction.
