An Office Action Response Consultation is designed to assess and discuss an Office Action issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in connection with your trademark application. During this consultation, we review the Office Action, explain the examining attorney’s refusals or requirements, and discuss the legal and procedural issues raised. The consultation provides an overview of the response options available, the potential risks involved, and the strategy that may be appropriate for addressing the Office Action. We also discuss the estimated costs, timelines, and next steps for preparing and filing a formal response if you decide to proceed. This consultation is intended to provide clarity on the issues identified by the examining attorney and help you understand the process for responding to the Office Action and moving your trademark application forward. If the firm is retained within seven (7) days of the consultation to prepare and respond to the Office Action, the consultation fee will be credited toward the cost of drafting, preparing, and filing the response, and for the firm to formally represent the client in connection with the matter before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Please note that if a response is required within one week of the applicable deadline, the firm reserves the right to apply a rush fee to accommodate the expedited preparation and filing of the response.
